Sage Parashar is considered the grandfather of the current Jyotish. Let's look at the opening sloka TIME Parashar Shastra. His work opens with reverence to Lord Ganesha. "I bow to the lotus feet of Lord Vighneswara, children of Uma, the cause of the destruction of sorrow, which is served by the Bhuta win, etc, which has the face of an elephant and it consumes the essence of Kapitha and Jambu fruits "Parashar referred to here as Vigneswara Ganesha (Vighne: obstacles) and the means Eswara (lord). This is the name of Ganesha, who removes all obstacles. Lord Ganesha is the god who presides Jyotish and is worshiped before all other gods and the beginning of each activitiy. In astrology Ganesha refers specifically to the planets Jupiter (lord of wisdom) and Ketu (ruler of discrimination and lighting). One should worship Ganesha regularly practice Jyotish in order to receive the blessings and knowledge. Ganesha is "wins" and "esh" which translates in the Lord of all beings, all groups, all divisions, including divisions of heaven, horoscope, etc. He is "the son of Uma" a name for the Goddess Parvati, consort of Lord Shiva. Uma regards the principle of the mother. Ganesh is "the destruction of the sentence." This is evident when one considers its relationship with Jupiter (a planet that represents wisdom, light and justice) and Ketu (ruling planet discrimination, psychic power, enlightnement and detachment). These qualities must be awakened in the Jyotishi, practitioner of Jyotish. Ganesh "is served by the desire Bhuta" These are the five main elements of the universe under his control, air, water, fire, ether and earth that are present in all nature and creation, including planetary bodies. "who has the face of an elephant as elephant Ganesh came when his mother was washing and it was supposed to guard the door to the bar of any visitor. The non-recognition of his father, Shiva, Ganesha did not let him enter the house. Shiva called the other gods of attendance and a big fight ensued in which Vishnu beheaded Ganesh'a. The enraged Parvati shook the universe threatens to destroy it. To reassure Shiva went looking for a new chief for the child, that she first saw it was an elephant. This story of the birth of Ganesh has many meanings relevant to the Jyotishi. On an issue which represents the Kundalini (Shakti) travel along the spine of the body chakras to enlightenment. Ganesha guards at the door of the Muladhara chakra, the first point of Shakti travel along the axis of the spine. Shiva represents the highest chakra, the crown chakra. The lesson is that enlightenment can not happen if the first chakra is not in harmony with the crown chakra allows the flow of kundalini up. Shakti Ganesha prevented from traveling to their place of true rest. Hence, Ganesha had to be transformed. His elephant head signifies the completion of this journey upward. Call an elephant Ganesha focuses our attention on the importance of your canine. The tusks are the most precious part of the elephant and signify royalty and leadership, the strongest and wisest of the tribe. They are also a penetration instrument mental discernment, entering new fields of activity, sense of courage and a spirit proceeding. We can connect this to the birth of Ganesha, which highlights the importance of renewal and regeneration. The trip Jyotish transforms and renews us to help spiritual awareness. "Anyone who consumes the essence of fruit and Jambu Kapththa" The tree of Jambu / kapiththa fruit is mentioned in ancient mythology as the "tree of life". is seen as an extension of Lord Shiva that governs it. The fruit produces Soma – the nectar of immortality, which has direct access to Ganesh. Your trunk should be central to sustaining the world with their roots down into the underworld of Yama. Mt Meru is crowned and their tips are in heaven. The tree also casts a shadow on the moon, (the planet where the Jyotish system is based).
