Small Business: 10 Key Attributes Your Sales Staff Must Have

One of the most important assets that any small business can have is effective sales people. Without them, you simply do not have a business that will work or more importantly make sales. Over the last ten years of operating a number of small businesses I have found 10 key attributes all sales staff must have to be successful.

Attribute 1: They Must Be Friendly and Approachable

Without friendly and approachable sales staff your customers will never buy from you. Let me share with you an example, two days ago I visited a well known sandwich store in Townsville Australia. The sandwich artist (better know as their salesman) was incredibly rude and unapproachable. In fact this young woman was so rude to both my wife and myself we almost walked out of the store and I know for a fact that two other people did, because I watched them. Her problem was quite apparent she did not want to be there and that was obvious.

If you were the business owner and the person was being abrupt and plainly rude, people simply will not take it and they will walk away. I still cannot understand how businesses can survive with rude sales staff. Some do though.

Attribute 2: They Must Always Be Polite

One of the biggest killer of sales is when you get to close to a customer and all of the sudden you let your guard down and say something inappropriate. When ever dealing with a customer you must always be polite and never resort to any vulgar language even if sharing a joke, because in many cases this will kill off a sale.

Attribute 3: Smile and Have a Clean Sense of Humour

The quickest way to disarm a customer is to smile at them. It is amazing how often just a little smile will stop the ranting and raving of a disgruntled customer. Too many people today, walk around on this earth with a scowl on their face and if you do this you will have no chance of making a sale. Nobody wants to buy from a grump.

Attribute 4: Always be well dressed

It does not matter whether you are a panel beater or mechanic, car cleaner or office girl, you should always present yourself in a well dressed manner. When choosing a uniform for your staff make sure that it will always look smart regardless of the work that they do.

Attribute 5: Follow-up all leads

Ninety percent of lost sales, simply are caused by people not following up in an appropriate amount of time. When ever you receive a customer enquiry that you cannot deal with immediately, make sure you inform the customer when you will follow-up with them and ensure you stick with that date.

Attribute 6: Ask the Customers What Their Needs Are

Look, as a small business owner, I am guilty of this, if you do not know what the customer wants, then simply ask them. I can assure you they will tell you. Never fear customers are not afraid of sharing with you their opinions or issues, just ask them

Attribute 7: Help the Customer Save Money and Get A Bargain

Every customer loves a bargain. Just look at the number of $2 shops that popup all around the world. Look at how many people travel half way across the world to travel to places like asia to shop in their cheap markets. Customers love a bargain and love to be shown how they are saving money, even when you are charging them more than someone else. Simply educate them why your deal is better then the next persons.

Attribute 8: Educate the Customer, Offer an Opinion or Have a Clear Recommendation

Salesman who are very successful will always have an opinion on what is the best product or service and why. Tell the customer why you recommend a certain product over another. Clearly educate the customer on what to look for when buying the product or service. If your product is not the one to buy or will not suit them then tell then what is the best option. You will be surprised how often you may not get that sale, but definitely get the next one by being honest with the customer.

Attribute 9: Help the Customer

If you cannot service the customers needs, then tell them somebody who can. We often will go to places like Harvey Norman or Tandy to buy certain products and they always tell us if they can not supply the product who can. Do you know the interesting thing about their strategy, my team and I always go back to them for other things.

Attribute 10: Ask for the sale

If you want the customer to buy something from you, you have to ask for the sale. Do not sit there with the customer like a stunned mullet, get in and ask them, “Would you like me to ring that up for you now?”

Whilst selling a product can be an art form, following these basic 10 attributes will certainly make a big difference in your ability to sell and become an outstanding sales person and make your company an outstanding organization to deal with.

Plato observed that the advent of an alphabet making writing efficient for average people actually lead to less knowledge or disciplined communication. We need not blame the Phoenicians for this because people really could benefit from writing.

John Locke and many other scientists during the time when man thought there was some reality in prejudices like The Scale of Nature observed that language was a pre-requisite for consciousness. Although there is some truth in his observations which include the Tabula Rasa, this is pure hogwash and perhaps even worse than that. He may well have sought to make people feel inferior just as that Scale of Nature was designed to do to so many non-Europeans.

Common sense is a most uncommon thing it appears. We still have many people living under the pall of the Bible Narrative and other ‘absolute religions’ (Fukayama and social engineers know how to use) which have whole histories of deceit woven into their dogma and the laws that form the structure of our society. I am all for the Kat-ma concept of Karma which would have these social engineers meet their maker and put an end to that Dog-ma. It is unfortunate that scholars who are interested in making a living often have to go along with things they know are only half true at best. It is more unfortunate that good money can be made debunking real scholarship and exploration by the likes of Barraclough Fell and other Epigraphists. Please take a look into Rob Gombach of Utah State University as he says Fell was only a hobbyist.

The treatment of the concept of OM by the Catholic Encyclopedia is a fine example of what is wrong with our society I think. Here is a little of what they say to start our voyage beyond conventional thinking. Om is the sacred syllable of Hinduism used by all schools in their meditation system. It expresses the ‘world-soul’ concept of Brahman. It is pronounced at the beginning of the recitation of the ‘mantras’. In practice, this concept is expressed in Hindu teaching as:

“‘All humanity converging at the foot of that sacred place where is set the symbol that is no symbol, the name that is beyond all sound.’ In the system of practices that make up Hinduism, there is the possibility of introducing this concept through an intensified psychic response or through practices that are diabolic {What?! This is certainly a great expression of the Pope’s ecumenical interests. This mentions nothing about it being like the Holy Spirit or what physicists say which I relate to the Logos. It is racial in the level of its prejudice and it is the kind of thing one should expect from ‘Crusaders’ with no soul.}. Here there is real danger, for this concept permits one to enter into a simple, self-delusive attitude {Rather than one created by the priests of this group of ‘churchians’ who do not follow the ‘living father within’ that Jesus taught.} that misleads while at the same time acts to shut out all other avenues of Christian response. Its danger is in the blandishment whereby a Universal Religion (the core of Karma or the at-onement of divine assumption of all into one) precludes sin since there is no one to sin against. Thus it has often been cryptically likened to the evolutionary religious concepts advanced by Teilhard de Chardin {Who almost was ex-communicated and is a great ecumenicist.}, namely, the ‘omega’ concept: ‘The revealed Christ is identical with omega. This christology of Chardin, an evolutionary complex, is stated in like manner: ‘Man bears along with him the world of beings inferior to God.’ (Letter 8/7/23 in ‘Letters to Leontine Zanta.’) (See Omega Point: Teilhardism.)” (1)

The Homeric scholars have found some things to prove the myth was not all mere fiction and this continues to the present in even more fascinating ways due to satellite technology as well as a weakening grip of Biblical intrigues or religious suppression. In the final analysis it is my sincere hope that people will become more spiritual and able to appreciate their religious icons were far more than the interpreters who used their image and good works. I am of the belief that when Homer wrote about ‘the underworld’ he was writing about North America and I know for certain that these people knew the earth was a sphere and had means to map and travel throughout the whole world since long before Homer. Much of knowledge started with observing the stars in world adventures or travels and man has always been adventurous. Here is the other ‘Om’ written as Ogham or Ogam.

“‘While some marks may be related to Ogam, we are skeptical of translations because the perception of the marks on the rock, often worn or damaged, is subject to considerable variability from one observer to the next.’

No nation has a monopoly on illegibility, and the authors could profitably have consulted any edition of any ancient work, at the bottom of any page (where the variant readings are listed); there they would find subjectivity galore, and accepted as a matter of course. In any case, they should keep mum; some people have the same complaints about standing stones and alignments.” (2)

The cover-up of Ogham and all of its branches of knowledge may have started before Rome and there certainly was a lot of plagiarization or Hellenizing going on as new leaders usurped the history, technology and science of the Kelts or ‘keltoi’ and ‘Ogygia’, as the Greek (Danaus) called them. Ogygia in itself means ‘ancient ones’ and Plutarch has a map identifying Iceland as Ogygia but that does not mean it was anything more than an ancient Thulean outpost.

Not long ago the Catholic Church had a fit of honesty and considered removing St. Patrick as a Saint. They knew all along that it was a near total fiction replete with removing snakes that had never been there in recorded or remembered history. They knew he had been sent there to make deals and re-write Scriptures or destroy things which would show the real roots of their faith and culture. He personally destroyed over 150 hand drawn books and we have proof of his editing of the Senchus Mor which had been a fantastic book with numerous volumes of law and culture. There are only a few glosses with obvious re-writes remaining. But the enslaved people of Ireland who have had their true history destroyed or hidden from them were all upset to find their Patron Saint might be a saint no more.

Uncial and Insular are languages that were developed in Irish language centers for writing the Scriptures (Uncial) and what later became English (Insular). Ogham was around a long time before these more sophisticated alphabets as any person with no grasp of linguistics can easily see and yet Britannica and others maintain the cover up to this day. Here is a little confirmation that St. Patrick was part of a major effort to bring certain people into the fold and develop schools to teach what the Druids like Columcille (later St. Columba) had learned at real centers of learning like the Isle of Druids or Iona. This is taken from the Annals of Ulster. This is a record of just one source in just one year (439). Bishops gathering in one place like this is not common as I understand it but I may be wrong.

“Secundinus, Auxilius and Isserninus, themselves also bishops, are sent to Ireland to assist Patrick.” And there is also an entry that has Patrick being confirmed as a bishop a couple of years later. So he clearly was not the top person or grand Pooh-Bah of the hegemony that was there in the first place. Rome was always looking to get more local ‘fronts’ for their deals so that the average person would not clue in to what was really going on. Here is that entry from year 441. “Bishop Patrick was approved in the Catholic faith.” Of course I could be cute and suggest he had not even been Catholic before this but I frankly don’t think that would be unusual either. Augustine is a study in greed and need for power too.

In the apologetic words of the current Pope whose heritage includes the ‘Holy’ (?) Emperors of this heinous group of ‘churchians’ he asks for ‘forgiveness and renewal’ as he admits to dastardly deeds of the Crusades, Flagellants, and Inquisitors. But is there a day care center in the Vatican? How about a female priest or God forbid, a Bishop? Most of humanity doesn’t even know what a Druid or ‘proto-Celt’ is or was. There is an old saying ‘if you want to know what a Druid knows, ask a wild bee.’ The bee was important to the Phocaeans, Napoleon and now the Mormons. Symbols (like the bee) communicate, letters are symbols, language or communication is more than the intellectual sum of its letters or words. The heart and soul make the beauty of true wisdom comprehensible to far greater depths than the intellect can imagine.

How did we sink so low as to barter the lives of our mothers and ‘sisters’?

Why have those who arranged these horrors tried to blame the Jews (and in an indirect manner, all ‘sinners’) for the death of Jesus? He did not claim to be a co-equal member of the Holy Trinity. It wasn’t the Jews who ‘killed our Saviour’. John Ralston Saul says this about the whole matter

“HOLY TRINITY-CHRISTIAN A pre-alchemist alchemist concept developed by early Christian administrators to soften the hard-edged simplicity of straight monotheism.

The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost {That the beatniks called ‘Laddio, Daddio and Spook’.} made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism {And raised un-natural ‘virginity’ or possible non-sense such as immaculate conceptions, which fathers must have loved and priests certainly benefit from, to heights of increasing obscenity!}. Twelve Disciples as semi-deities then made it sextusdecitheism. Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain, old-fashioned polytheism. By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion ever to have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism. This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with {And this is the MOST important observation of a technique known in psychology as ‘projection of a pluperfect paranoid’ or the ‘BIG LIE’ of alphabet soup agencies and ‘black ops’; the less organized criminals like the Mafia call it a ‘frame-up’.} by accusing other religions of the Christian fault. The Church – Catholic and later Protestant – turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view {Also they began at least 700 years of war, A CRUSADE! against the remnants of the Kelts in Ireland.) – Judaism and Islam – and persecuted them as heathen or pagan. ..These pagans must therefore be converted, conquered {ego ‘Manifest Destiny’} and/or killed for their own good in order that they may benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages.

HOLY TRINITY – POST CHRISTIAN So far Nietzsche has been wrong about GOD. We have not managed to become Him in His place. Instead we have replaced God with a yet more abstract divinity based upon pure rational power… Organization or structure replaced the Father, TECHNOLOGY displaced the Son and the Holy Ghost gave way to information. The new priesthood was made up of technocrats. As the etymology of the word ‘technocrat’ indicates, from the beginning they were to be specialists in power… And they would stand guard over information.” (3)

The fears and apathy of average people are as much to blame for this history of managed and ‘guarded information’ that records the acts of bad people. ‘We are all our brother’s keepers’ is not just an idle platitude. The Druidic concept called IESA or ‘The Brotherhood of Man’ apprehended the Cosmic Thought Field of Faraday and Tesla or the ‘Cosmic Soup’ of Deepak Chopra. NASA scientists have just announced that Life is Everywhere including microbes in outer space. They talk about cell membrane formation that makes we wonder if these are conscious connected ‘info packets’(Tesla) or ‘templates’ (Teilhard de Chardin) from which energy can create in a manner more akin to ancient creationist theories of the supposed pagans.

References Can Make Or Break Your Job Search

References are golden assets as you travel your career path. Nurture them with great care. They may be personal or professional. The personal ones can speak to your stability and character. On the professional side, references should address your qualifications to handle the job. A combination of both types is first prize.

There are six career tips that will help you make sure your references assets work to your advantage in your search for a job.

1. Never take for granted that a reference will be positive. Get approval from each one, no matter how solid you may think the relationship is, so that the referring person can be prepared to speak for you from first hand knowledge. The last thing you want is for a reference to be caught off guard. This contact is best made with a face-to-face meeting.

2. Bring the potential reference up to speed on your job status. Detail the history of your career. Explain the reasons you are looking for a new position. Explain your career goals.

3. Describe in detail the job you are seeking. Ask for career advice, as well as any leads to job opportunities. Never forget, everybody likes to be asked for advice.

4. After you secure their assurance of a positive reference, send them a copy of your resume and cover letter. Request their comments. This is a good way to get them involved in your search.

5. Keep references involved in your job search. Request that they notify you when they receive calls from prospective employers. Get their take on the degree of interest the interviewers have in your application and the status of the search.

6. The follow-up is an extremely important part of the process. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and challenges of a new job so you forget to thank those who provided references. That’s a big mistake. Send “thank you” notes for their agreeing to serve as a reference. Keep them posted on the progress of your job search. After you get the job, keep your references posted on the progress you make on your career path.

Never burn your bridges. Remember you may need these references in the future.

Top 10 Most Dangerous Occupations

November 12th, 2009 admin No comments

Author: Luther Avery
Source: ezinearticles.com

You’ve seen the reality shows and have heard the stories of lives lost, but do you really know what the most dangerous jobs in America are? Take a look at this list, and we assure you that you will think twice before complaining about your job.

10. Law Enforcement
Although it is totally understandable and makes perfect logical sense, it is a bit sad to know that the brave men and women whose job it is to protect the public have such a dangerous occupation. (We can comfort ourselves a bit by noting that it is number 10, not number 1.) You might like to think of Chief Wiggum (from The Simpsons) looking for his next doughnut, but don’t ever forget that there is a reason that police have firearms and bulletproof vests. When your job description is confronting criminals (often in unsavory locations), you definitely face perils more serious than most other occupations.

9. Sanitation Workers
Wait – what??? The folks who pick up our garbage and refuse have a more dangerous job than police officers? Strangely enough, that is the case. The fatality rate for sanitation workers is 22.8 per 100,000 (a shade higher than the rate for law enforcement), but there is a bit more to the story. This category covers a lot of ground, including: heavy machinery operators (often in construction zones), manual laborers handling hazardous materials, and also your garden-variety sanitation worker who picks up your residential refuse (which is a very physical job). Never forget that the weather conditions play a role, especially with the larger items in commercial locations, and some of the collected materials often create fumes that make them difficult to handle. Safety has become a bigger concern for the industry, but the dangers are still there.

8. Drivers (Truckers, Traveling Sales People, etc.)
If you don’t use per capita figures, but just go off of the raw numbers, this category should be number 1 on our list. More people die on our nation’s highways than in any other location (and we’re not fudging numbers by including recreational drivers here). Everyone who has ever gotten behind the wheel of a car can tell you why this employment category is on the list: unsafe (and often drunk) drivers on the road, weather conditions, road construction (or lack of repair), etc. The list of contributing factors could go on forever, but the biggest reason is driver fatigue (often because of the long periods of time behind the wheel). This job has become safer over the years, primarily due to automotive advances such as air bags and better seat belt restraints. However, because the biggest reason for highway fatalities is driver fatigue (and we all know that the additional factor of Mother Nature isn’t going anywhere soon), it seems clear that this one will likely be on the list for a long time to come.

7. Roofers
Again, this one is not much of a surprise, as the job description entails one to work for many hours on top of a house (those slanted roofs are just an accident waiting to happen). Taking both commercial and residential work into consideration, the people who repair and install roofs have one difficult job. We’ve already mentioned the dicey working place (your cubicle looks much nicer now, eh?), but don’t forget that they are working with pneumatic tools, potentially hazardous materials (like tar and asphalt), and sitting out in the sun for hours on end is not the best way to avoid a heat-related illness. The current slowdown in the new housing market might affect the injury and fatality rate going forward (fewer workers means fewer injuries), but it makes the list right now.

6. Electrical Power Line Workers
Once again, a no-brainer. Look at the picture, for crying out loud! You combine frequently being very high in the air with your work being the installation and repair of high voltage lines, and you have a job that few have the guts to attempt. Like most jobs on this list, the industry has responded by instituting a great number of safety measures. However, there are some things that are difficult to make safe about this job. Want an example? These guys almost always have to go through cable and phone lines (which are lower) to get to the power lines – you almost expect them to go up blindfolded next time just to make it even more dangerous.

5. Farmers and Ranchers
We know you are wondering how Old McDonald is higher on the list than the guy works around high voltage lines. Well, the statistics don’t lie – roughly 38 deaths per 100,000. The primary cause of all of these deaths? The exact reason you would expect — the heavy machinery that is used to cultivate the land and to harvest crops. We’ve all heard about the farmer who lost a finger (or worse), but sometimes those machines can take a life as well. Think about that next time you complain about food prices.

4. Iron and Steel Workers
This category is pretty broad, encompassing both the individuals who install iron or steel items (like girders, columns, etc.) in the course of construction of a bridge, building, and other structures, as well as the factory workers who create the iron and steel beams that the construction-site workers install. If you have ever seen a building going up, then you know exactly why these guys are on the list – they work at ridiculous heights! The biggest reason for injury or death is, unsurprisingly, because of falls from those great heights. Fortunately, the vast majority of these workers wear harnesses, and a great many construction sites provide safety nets. Nevertheless, the combination of working at incredible heights and working with molten metal (including the lousy fumes) makes this a job that puts those cubicle jockeys to shame.

3. Pilots and Flight Engineers
You might be thinking to yourself – wait a minute, I always heard it was safer to fly than to drive! Remember, this list is based upon per capita deaths, not simply the raw numbers. Also, when you add in helicopter pilots (who are often sent in rescue missions, not always in the easiest location or in the nicest weather conditions), it begins to make more sense. Further added into the group are pilots transporting cargo, crop dusters, and test pilots (whose job appears to be taking incredibly perilous risks), so now the rank of Number 3 is not a mystery. As with so many others, weather conditions are a big factor here, but you also have the crop dusters handling toxins (and not having a traditional landing strip, either). Although full crashes of commercial airplanes are relatively rare, “pilot” is not limited to that crowd.

2. Timber Cutters/Loggers
When the reality show Ax Men came out, you were probably wondering why anyone would want to watch a show about guys cutting down trees. Shame on you (and we are surprised you didn’t figure out that the combination of huge chainsaws and gigantic trees was a recipe for workplace disaster). With factors such as high winds, hidden roots, and the fact that they are often high up in the air (usually at heights of 100 feet), the rate of injury for timber cutters is THIRTY TIMES that of a regular workplace. Oh, and don’t forget the fact that they are using ginormous gas-powered chainsaws. Oddly, that is still not enough to be number one, which only goes to show you how dangerous the number one job really is (and we think its reality show gets better ratings).

1. Commercial Fishermen
They don’t call it Deadliest Catch for nothing, you know. The most dangerous job in America has given us a bona fide hit of a reality show….although it seems kind of morbid when you look at the numbers. For every 100,000 fishermen, roughly 112 will die each year. That doesn’t sound like much, until you realize that a normal workplace has 4 deaths per 100,000. Commercial fishermen often work in harsh conditions, many times dozens (or even hundreds) of miles from shore. From getting tangled in the nets to falling on a slick deck to even being thrown overboard, this is not the job for the weak of heart. It’s pretty rare that you have a job in which the Coast Guard keeps tabs on you, just in case something goes wrong. Serious injuries are frequent, but the reward for those who do survive can be very, very lucrative. Hell, you might even become a reality show star!

Public Wi-Fi Hotspot Security Tips – Why Your Data Isn’t Secure and What You Can Do About It

November 11th, 2009 admin No comments

Author: Wade Mcmunn
Source: download

As more people acquire laptops and begin making use of public Wi-Fi hotspots, hackers are able to easily exploit vast security vulnerabilities inherent in most public hotspot deployments. What follows are four specific security vulnerabilities along with our “best practice” recommendations to overcome them.
Security Threat #1: The Evil Twin
An “evil twin” can be a laptop in a hacker’s backpack set-up to trick users into logging onto the Internet via their “rogue” connection by mimicking the legitimate hotspot’s network name and login page (where applicable). Once logged on, the hacker can create fake login prompts for popular email and banking applications thereby stealing the user’s most valued login credentials.
What can be done to guard against such attacks? Look for connections that offer an SSL-encrypted login page (evidenced by https versus http in the address bar and a lock in the lower right hand corner of your web browser) that has been verified as authentic by public authorities such as Thawte or Versign. 82nd Street Wireless offers such a secure connection.
Security Threat #2: Unencrypted Wireless Data
Most public Wi-Fi hotspots disable wireless data encryption standards such as WEP and WPA as one user’s “secret key” can be used by a hacker to decrypt the entire network’s traffic thus making such keys both ineffective and unnecessarily complex for public deployments. What this means is that a hacker can view your data (email and web pages) as they travel through the air between your laptop and the wireless router using command line utilities found in certain operating systems.
The solution is to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) which creates a secure encrypted connection between your laptop and the VPN server. You can find such solutions at 82nd Street Wireless.
Security Threat #3: Inappropriate Configuration of Wireless Network Settings
Wireless local area networks were designed so that computers sharing the network could easily access and share data amongst themselves. As such, in many public hotspot deployments, a hacker can obtain direct access to your computer unless you configure your wireless network settings as follows: turn your firewall on, disable file sharing and turn ad-hoc mode off. Those setting can be found in Windows XP via Start > Settings > Network Connections > Wireless Network Connection.
82nd Street Wireless automatically disables others from accessing your device via what is referred to as “client isolation”.
Security Threat #4: Operating System Vulnerabilities
As hackers are well know for exploiting operating system vulnerabilities, you’ll want to stay on top of both operating system updates and anti-virus updates which fortunately can be automated through the “automatic update” feature offered by the major brands in both product categories.
By employing the afore-mentioned security tips, your data will stay out of the unscrupulous hands of hackers while you continue to enjoy the benefits of public wireless Internet at your favorite Wi-Fi hotspot location.

Riders consider their motorcycle jacket as their second skin. It
keeps them warm, cool and dry depending on the circumstances
they need. Nonetheless, as a second skin it must be of superb
quality in order to protect the rider enormously.

If endless miles on a street motorcycle ride is your primary
means of transportation, then you are in need of a motorcycle
jacket that works. A jacket that will guard you from the harsh
weather, protect you from bruises and fractures at the same
time, will make you feel comfortable without sacrificing your
style. As a rider, how will you rate you motorcycle jacket?

By far, leather is the most popular material for motorcycle
jackets. Other manufacturers offer perforated leather. Others
are also offering colored leather and textile jackets which are
well-blended with the motorcycles. In cases of commuting and
touring, mesh textile material is highly recommended. It is also
adroit at the flowing air. This material is easy to maintain and
take care of. It also offers water-proof protection in a lot of
circumstances. If you are traveling a lot of miles, chances are,
you will be encountering a rain shower. This material can very
well safeguard you from the rain.

To be secured that you are purchasing a good-quality motorcycle

for the sizes. Use a tape measure to measure your chest, arms
and other vital points. 2.Have ample storage. The more pockets
the better. However, do not overdo it. You can very well appear

keep your important things within your reach. However, make sure
that the pockets can be zipped or closed securely so that its
contents will not spill or drop. 3.Go waterproof. Waterproof

escapade. It will also serve as your shield against some
elemental hazards. 4.Good ventilation is crucial. Get a jacket
that flaps in the wind. Another alternative is to open the
zipped parts of the jacket to maximize ventilation. 5.Longer
sleeves are preferable. Longer sleeves accommodate the riding
position of the rider. It makes it easy for him to maneuver the
motorcycle. 6.Removable armor is an advantage. By that, it means
that you can have it when you want it and detach it if you
wanted to.

There are few better ways to see the world than from the comfortable seat of a passenger train. From the rolling hills of Europe to the beautiful mountainsides of Asia, the slow pace of the train allows sight seeing and relaxing away from the rigors of work. For drivers, engineers, and guards, the experience of seeing new places while doing a job they love is a motivating force to get involved in the railway industry. It is important to understand the international job market for railway professionals before leaping head first into a job in a far away place. The best place to consult market information for international railways is by consulting with several governing bodies. The International Union of Railways and the International Union of Public Transport, for example, provide information on transit and cargo railways throughout Europe.

One of the best places to find work in the railway industry is in Japan. The six Japan Railways companies, along with the extensive subway and monorail systems, employ hundreds of thousands of railway professionals to keep it running smoothly. Since the railway is the key manner of transit for travelers and residents alike, the railway is revered in Japan as a key part of daily life. Japanese railway positions require high technical aptitude, as the Japanese rail system features bullet trains and the cutting edge of railway technology.

Another great place to work for railway professionals looking for international work is mainland Europe. Austria features a strong railway network called the OBB, which is improving daily and requires skilled engineers and maintenance staff. Denmark’s DSB system is surprisingly sophisticated in order to deal with the small land area that it covers, with rail management professionals needed to maintain an efficient system.

One of the biggest railway systems in the world, and one of the largest employers of rail professionals, is the state run Russian’s railway, Russian Railways. The railway covers nearly 85,000 kilometers and employees more than a million engineering professionals to keep it running efficiently. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage to working in Russia is that some of the destinations are old industrial centers or out of the way places that are not entirely exotic. However, Russian companies rely on Russian Railways to transport goods and personnel to locations in outlying areas. This reliance means a consistent need for qualified professionals, which makes Russian Railways a secure move professionally.
