When dreaming about an Alaska vacation you may
envision the romantic essence of yourself reeling in King Salmon, roaming the Alaska wilderness shooting wildlife pictures or simply observing the awe-inspiring beauty…but there’s more.
Alaska still remains one of the last frontiers on our
planet. Its harsh extremely rugged environment can put any well-equipped adventurer to the test. Yet for the wise, you can engage in a thrilling Alaska vacation, experience the rugged Alaska environment, the awe-inspiring beauty and participate in Alaska’s beckoning adventurous surroundings as much or as little
as you want. And you can do it all from the safety of your home away from home!
Your Alaska vacation setting, your home away from home, is
aboard one of the most spectacular means of transportation known today, a luxury cruise ship. Granted, these cruise ships are monstrous in their own right, dwarfed by jutting mountain peaks and colossal glacier ice fields. Yet, you have the opportunity to experience some of Alaska’s finest, right from the luxury and comfort of your home away from home, a cruise ship. What a
romantic way to travel!
Advantages Of Living In The Northwest…
For those living in the Pacific Northwest, you have the ease and
advantage of experiencing a wondrous Alaska vacation by driving a vehicle to your departure port, either Seattle, Astoria
or Vancouver, B.C.; making your Alaska vacation that much more of a vacation.
You’ll experience the joys from NOT having to deal with the anxieties of a possible flight delay or flight cancellation and no additional strain on the pocket book requiring additional money for flights or possible hotel stays.
If you’re driving, the ideal is to find a friend or family
member to drop you off and pick you up. You do, however, have the option of parking at the Bell Street Garage located directly across from Pier 66, the cruise terminal in Seattle.
Fee: $12.00 per day.
On-line reservations are available through Republic Parking.
Location: 9 Wall Street. Enter at the corner of Alaskan Way and Wall Street.
25 handicap parking stalls.
No oversize or RV parking is available in the garage. Vehicles must be less than 6’6″ high.
Republic Parking operates the garage. Questions? Call the garage staff at (206) 783-4144.
The ability to leave home and drive to your cruise ship
is truly remarkable. We took that opportunity to engage in an Alaska vacation with Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) the summer of 2004. Previously we’d explored Alaska by air; vehicle, foot and most recently the favorable moment came, to explore Alaska by way of a cruise ship.
Past Vacations Were Work…
In the past, our Alaska vacation required an immense amount of
planning, organization, and ultimately, “work”, yielding very little time for some true relaxation and quality time with loved ones. An NCL Alaska Cruise allows you to truly relax and spend the necessary quality time with loved ones. The cruise gives you options. If you want to engage yourself into an intense schedule, you can. If you don’t want the intensity, that’s your option.
Cruising With NCL…
We elected to cruise with NCL for various reasons:
they’re very competitive in price, they offer “Free-Style Cruising”, they have fabulous children programs (we could spend some quality romantic time together while the kids were fully involved in the children programs), superb entertainment, an international crew and they were the first cruise line in Seattle. We had to check them out?and that we did!
Six of us, 2-adults and 4-children, set off to explore the
qualities of NCL on an Alaska vacation. Our vessel, the “Norwegian Spirit” was docked at the Port of Seattle, the Pier 66 Terminal. Our scheduled departure was a Saturday afternoon allowing us the relaxing time to get some last minute things together. We were in no rush whatsoever. We could arrive at the ship between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. How soothing this was to all the family members.
Arriving at the terminal was a little confusing; it appeared as if every passenger descended on the ship at the same time. Amongst the confusion we found a courteous NCL employee who directed us to the appropriate baggage check-in and ticketing lines. We were impressed how quickly and orderly the lines
flowed. NCL did a fantastic job of getting us through the baggage check-in, ticketing and on-board the ship.
Each passenger is issued an ID card before boarding.
This ID Card serves as your room key, boarding pass and credit card for any onboard shopping. It’s imperative that you guard it like your credit card, do not leave it unattended. You’ll need it in ALL ports of call for departing and boarding the ship.
Before the ship left the Seattle dock, on to our Alaska
vacation, we were exploring. The Spirit carries 1,996 passengers with a crew of 920. That’s nearly 1-crew member for every 2-passengers! And we have to say; the crew was there to serve us and make sure we had the absolute best Alaska vacation. We appreciated all of the nationalities represented on the Spirit. It’s truly a vessel of international flair.
Our kids, of course, loved the stern section of the ship,
the Kids Club. It’s amazing, an entire mini-amusement park with tunnels, tubes and balls, a pool with slides, fountains and a mock pirate ship yielding water-spouting cannons that make up the upper portion of the stern section. This is a kid’s heaven. When our kids were tired of the water games (that rarely
happened), the arcade was only steps away.
The restaurants on board were numerous from fine dining to
buffet style and fast food offered 24-hours a day. You’ll never go hungry. If you’re dieting to lose weight, put the diet on hold for the duration of the cruise. You’ll want the flexibility to enjoy all the fabulous food entrees.
The Many Options…
We especially enjoyed the many options of simply watching
whales spout, the beautiful scenery passing us by, picking up a movie in the theater, dining, playing cards, trying our luck in the casino, listening to some live entertainment at one of the many bars, lounging on the deck by one of the pools, pumping iron at the gym, shooting some hoops on the basketball court?the
list seems endless. This is the ultimate Alaska vacation; you can do it all, part or nothing.
Our family of six always had something to do, there was
never a dull boring moment. Each one of us had the option to choose what we wanted to do. My wife, for example, read a book in the library while I watched a movie in the theater, our oldest hung out with some new found friends and the other three played on the water slides. Our Alaska vacation was unlike any other,
there was literally no sacrificing the wants and likes of other family members. And above all, we didn’t have to drive to any of these recreational activities!
One of our favorite functions were the evenings live
high quality professional entertainment in the grand Moulin Rouge showroom. It’s unique in that the Moulin Rouge utilizes two decks, with theater style sitting. You ultimately get a great view from every seat, including the seats in the balcony! On our
particular cruise, the Cruise Director, Adrian Lewis, did a fabulous job organizing all of the professional entertainment. The picture depicts a special attribute to all the crew who made our Alaska vacation an unforgettable experience.
Ports of Call…
And of course, there are the ports of call: Ketchikan via the Inside Passage from Seattle, Juneau, Skagway and Prince Rupert with a sneak into the Sawyer Glacier. The ports are all awesome. You have the choice of departing the ship and venturing out into the Alaskan territory or stay in your second home, onboard the Spirit. It’s your choice to expand your Alaska
vacation to meet your adventurous needs and desires.
On shore you can experience nearly any level of excitement
you so desire. You’ll have at your disposal helicopter flights, fishing opportunities, river rafting, guided tours, shopping expeditions or simply strolling around on a self-guided walking tour. The ports of call, on our Alaska vacation, were relatively small. This enabled us to walk around the towns to capture the Alaskan lifestyle. Granted, our stay in each port was limited but it did yield enough time to get a taste, an experience of Alaska. The ports were showcased enabling us to see the highlights and if so desired we could return at a later date.
Ketchikan was our first port of call after cruising through the majestic Inside Passage. Ketchikan is a
shoppers dream, an added feature to experience the ultimate Alaska vacation. The historic downtown and specialty shops are within minutes from the cruise ship docks. You’ll find a wide selection of native art, jewelry, sporting goods and even the Alaskan themed toys.
We especially enjoyed walking around town, watching the
salmon run through a stream in the center of town and riding the
city bus to Saxman Village, a native village 2-miles south of Ketchikan. The village is literally a totem pole park revealing the native’s culture. Returning to the ship we decided to walk the 2-miles back along a fabulous waterside walkway that portrayed the beauty of this Southeast Alaska area.
Juneauwas the second port of call. We were amazed how much the city had changed over the past 10-years. The
cruise ship industry had a great effect on the coastal Alaskan towns. Shops literally sprung up overnight to accommodate the thousands of passengers descending upon Juneau and the other coastal towns.
Juneau is the capital of Alaska, nestled between
towering mountains. The enormity of the cruise ships makes for an awesome sight as they cruise between the mountain ridges.
Juneau is also home to the Mendenhall Glacier. This is a sight to be seen, especially if you’re not familiar with glaciers. We took the city bus to the Mendenhall Valley and walked about a mile to reach the glacier. Of course, there are other options to get to the glacier via helicopter or one of the many bus-guided tours.
If you plan on visiting the glacier bring along your
National Parks Pass. This will entitle you free entrance to the visitor’s center.
Our third Port of Call was the infamous little town of
Skagway. Our route to Skagway took us up the Tracy
Arm to the Sawyer Glacier. We cruised past icebergs and gushing water falls. The captain brought the cruise ship near the spectacular ice-flow, a sight you have to see. Our kids continued playing on the water-slides as we cruised along
the towering pieces of ice, truly an amazing sight.
Skagway welcomed us with open arms. It’s here that
the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898 began. It’s hard to imagine more than 30,000 gold seekers set out from this once tiny village. And now, Skagway is experiencing it’s second gold rush. Approximately 5- cruise ships visit Skagway every day during the months of May – September, that’s 10,000 visitors per day bringing money into the community!
The town is very easy to get around; it’s about 7-blocks
long all encased with specialty shops. The prices are extremely competitive yielding some good quality products. Regarding the tours, you can always sign up for a tour aboard the ship; however, if you didn’t make previous tour arrangements you still have ample opportunities on shore.
Skagway is known for the famous scenic railway. It’s a
3-hour ride out of Skagway following the gold rush route into the Yukon. We decided against the train ride and hopped aboard a personalized driving tour with the Skaguay Tour Company. We like the added edge a personalized tour gives. The tour consists of a historic city tour and a drive to the summit of White Pass, essentially paralleling the train route but only half the cost. We also had the opportunity to stop at various points of interest along the way, unlike the train. Before you go to Skagway check out Skagway Tour Company. Be sure to bring your passport, you’ll cross into Canada and may need the identification for re-entry into the U.S.
Our last Port of Call, before returning to Seattle, was
Prince Rupert. This cosmopolitan city encompasses
many cultures and is the home of the First Nations people for 10,000 years. Near the cruise dock is a native museum with a variety of shops nestled along the waterfront. Compared to the other ports, we found the various gift items expensive even with the good U.S. dollar exchange rate.
There are tours that you can participate in; however, we
took advantage of the walking tour along the waterfront visiting the sunken gardens. It made for a nice walkabout; however, our kids were anxious to return to the ship and engage in the many wonderful activities. That’s the beauty; you have a home away from home, a comfortable place to return to creating a relaxing and enjoyable Alaska vacation.
Seattle, our off-boarding port, came far too soon. None of us were very anxious to leave the ship; we were ready to do the cruise again, back to our Alaska vacation. But the reality, we had to disembark. NCL made this an extremely easy process.
Each passenger is given a color-coded baggage tag depending upon your on-shore schedule. For example, if you had a morning
flight scheduled out of SeaTac Airport, your color-coded baggage tag indicated early ship disembarkation. You’d simply listen to your color tag announced over the loudspeaker system and proceed to depart the ship.
NCL makes it a relaxing experience even when the ship has reached its final destination. You can sit
back, relax and continue to enjoy your Alaska vacation while eating breakfast looking out at Seattle’s skyline.
Foremost, the things we bring with us from any vacation is
the memories, the experiences. It, therefore, makes sense to have a memorable vacation. Unfortunately there is a cost to it, any vacation or anything we do in life will cost in some form, either money, time, material things, etc. A cruise costs money. If money is a concern to you then we can show you how to save money before you purchase your cruise tickets.
The Alaska cruises book-up quickly. We encourage you to get the most of your Alaska vacation by booking early. You will not be disappointed. And we’ll help you through the booking process, your memories are a keepsake; therefore, book early.
We do not sell cruise tickets, airline tickets or any travel tickets, we simply reveal the Facts so you can make an informed decision and get the most for your hard earned dollar.
Step out into the exciting, adventurous, and romantic wonderlands our planet has to offer…make your Alaska vacation an Alaska Cruise.

August 4, 2004 — On Thursday, July 29, a Connecticut State Police Officer pulled over LLM’s Truth Truck as it was traveling through the State following a five day ministry effort in Boston.

At approximately 3:30PM, an angry Officer pulled the truck over and asked for Dennis Green, the driver and Director of Life and Liberty Ministries, to come to the rear of the vehicle. The Officer stated that the vehicle could not drive any further in the State until the pro-life messages were removed from the truck. Dennis Green informed him that the truck would remain as it was and proceeded to inform the Officer with regard to his First Amendment rights.

The Officer then began to fish for any reason to charge Mr. Green. He brought up the issue of seat belts and said that the occupants weren’t wearing them when in fact they were. Another Officer arrived on the scene and also began to verbally attack Mr. Green with regard to the messages and images on the vehicle.

When the driver was told that he was going to be charged with a crime, he immediately asked for a Supervisor to be called to the scene. The Officers refused repeatedly to yield to this request. At this point Dennis Green and one of the passengers, Michael Marcavage, called 911 to make a request for help. Mr. Marcavage began to film the incident from the opposite side of the guard rail and at the distance of approximately 25 feet.

The Officers immediately began yelling for him to turn off the camera and reenter the vehicle. Mr. Marcavage slowing began to retreat toward the vehicle while asking if Mr. Green could do the same. He made this request because the Officers were detaining Mr. Green behind the truck were he could not be seen.

The Officers climbed over the rail and placed Mr. Marcavage under arrest charging him with two crimes including a felony charge.

After Mr Marcavage was taken away, Mr. Green was ordered to get back into his vehicle and began driving South bound until he was out of the State. He was instructed that he would be followed and he was not to stop or take any exits.

During the time that Mr. Marcavage was in Police custody, he was repeatedly mocked and ridiculed for his Christian faith. Mr. Marcavage was called a Jesus Freak, a wing nut, brain washed, a scam artist, and many other derogatory terms.

Hamlet – A Brief Synopsis – Shakespeare

January 14th, 2010 admin No comments

Author: Michael Cooper
Source: articleage.com

Horatio and other guards witness the ghost of their recently deceased king. Horatio quickly reports the viewing to the king’s only son, Hamlet. Hamlet decides to attempt to communicate with the ghost, and, against friendly advice, follows the ghost when beckoned. The ghost of the king reveals to Hamlet the secrets of a well planned murder, one already committed, the murder of the king. Hamlet is infuriated, and is convinced to attempt revenge.
Polonius, father of Laertes and Ophelia, Hamlet’s only love, is an advisor to the new king. Hamlet begins to act strangely, and when Ophelia tells Polonius of Hamlet’s new personality, Polonius decides to investigate with consent of the king. The king also summons two of Hamlet’s friends from college, Rosencratz and Guildenstern. The pair is convinced by the current king to spy on Hamlet and attempt to discover the reason behind his awkward actions. Hamlet, with help from traveling players, writes a play identical to the murder plot, to be played for the murderer and those surrounding him.
The king and his trio of curious followers continue to intently spy on Hamlet, particularly when he is with Ophelia. The play, “The Mousetrap,” is acted out in front of the king. When he notices the similarity of the plot of the play to his murder, he storms out of the room. The queen, Gertrude, former wife of the murdered, current wife of the murderer, agrees to send for Hamlet with the goal of making him open up about his feelings while Polonius hides in the room. Hamlet, before going to his mother’s room, goes to the king’s quarters with plans to murder him, but decides to wait because the king is praying. He reports to the queen’s room, discovers the eavesdropper, and, thinking it is the king, stabs and murders Polonius. Hamlet, unsuccessfully, tries to convince his mother that the current king is mad.
The king orders Rosencratz and Guildenstern to take Hamlet to England with a letter requesting that the English monarchy put him to death. Hamlet discovers the letter, writes one that would put his escorts to death, and escapes. He returns to his homeland and stumbles upon the funeral of Ophelia, who apparently committed suicide when she learned of her father’s death. When the king and Laertes, intent on avenging the death of his father and sister, learn of Hamlet’s return, they plot to kill him in a duel with various means of poison.
Laertes and Hamlet have a short fight in the uncovered grave of Ophelia, before the burial, and agree on a duel, to simply test the skill of the two. One of the attempts to kill Hamlet, a poisoned drink, kills Gertrude when she makes a toast using that cup, killing herself. In the duel, Laertes uses a sword with a poisoned tip. He manages to stab Hamlet. Before Hamlet dies, he is able to gain control of Laertes sword and stab him with it. Hamlet then wounds the king with the sword and forces him to finish the poisoned drink. Hamlet tells Fortinbras, a traveling prince, that he will be the next king of Denmark. Hamlet dies.

Why have I allowed myself to get into this shape? With life
comes responsibility and with decisions comes consequences. It’s
your choice today to do something positive. Tomorrow it may be
out of your hands. There are three underlying emotions that keep
you from taking better care of yourself: denial, pride, and
laziness. Consciously or subconsciously, this threesome is the
root of why most Americans have allowed themselves to get in the
shape they are in.

Are you one of them?

Chances are sooner or later one or all three will be riding with
you in the car to the hospital. Have you found yourself saying
these things?

“My diet is not that bad.” “A few trips to the fast food joint
once in awhile won’t hurt.” “My blood pressure is fine today. It
wouldn’t hurt if I skipped a day of taking my medication.” “My
New Year’s resolution next month is to get in better shape.”
“Why have I let myself get this out of shape?

DENIAL

“It won’t happen to me?no way, no how!”

Unfortunately, it is what we cannot see that is killing us. Our
insides are getting eaten away because of our lack of exercise
and poor eating habits. Society is so concerned with extreme
makeover television shows that we have been caught off guard
with the silent killers: heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
Even if the outside looks good, the damage is still done inside
our bodies. Over time we have made ourselves feel comfortable
with certain lifestyle habits.

We overlook the long-term consequences of our behaviors. We see
things going on around us, but we continue to put off exercise
and eating better for another day. Out of the three, Denial is
the sneakiest beast of them all.

PRIDE

“Do not let them see you sweat or show any signs of weakness.”

Ever find yourself saying one of these? “If I cannot do it on my
own, then I will not do it at all.” “Just the very fact of
having to take better care of me, irritates me.” “I’ll put off
my check up until next fall.” Ever have any of these thoughts?
Denial’s brother, Pride, may not be the sneakiest, but he is the
strongest personality of the boys. Having too much pride costs
millions of lives every year in any arena you can imagine,
especially in health and the aging process. While pride may be
the strongest emotion out of the three, he always seems to lose.
His ego gets the best of him and aging finally wins out in the
end.

LAZINESS

“I’ll start tomorrow on my exercise program.” Exercise and
eating right takes discipline, and planning. For some, that’s
too much to ask. If that’s you, you may be missing out on a
really wonderful healthy quality filled life. But, does that
really matter to you?

Why is America the fattest nation in the world? Laziness! It’s
just that simple. If you think a pill, surgery, or wishful
thinking is going to replace hard work you have been HAD by the
media. It takes hard consistent work. Having Lazy as a friend
may cost you your life someday. Why are most countries healthier
and thinner than us? They are more active and more resourceful.

One out of three of you will break a bone. Half of you are on
the verge of obesity and diabetes. A third of you will suffer a
heart attack. Half of you will end up in a nursing home. And
most of you are not living a life filled with confidence, good
sleeping patterns, high energy or happiness. Why now? You tell
me?why not now?

Do the math! Numbers do not lie. You either accept the road less
traveled or you face the consequences. It’s just that simple.
This may resemble a scare tactic, but the bottom line is this is
the reality. You either pay the price now by putting in some
effort and time, or you pay the doctor bill later.

If you think for one second you are exempt, above reproach, or
just relying on luck or faith, think again. Your best defense is
a good offense.

Why now? Denial, Pride and Lazy will always creep in to make you
miserable.

Why Start a Home Business?

Working from home is a dream for many –

but actually going ahead and starting a home

business is very difficult. So what makes so

many people want to do it, and why would you

ever try such a crazy thing? Here are some common

reasons, and some things to consider.

You Can Build Your Great Idea.

It suddenly hit you like a bolt of lightning: you’ve

thought of a great business idea. This is perhaps the

number one reason that people go into business from

home: they’ve come up with something great that they

really believe in, but can’t afford to rent any business

premises. It does depend on what the business is, but

working from home is often ideal in these situations.

Remember, though, that even the best ideas take hard

work to become a reality. The kind of ideas that are

good for a home-based business are ones that can

become at least partly real quickly, and start bringing in

an income – you shouldn’t sit at home for a year working

on something that’s making you nothing whatsoever.

You Can Make Your Hobby a Job.

Most people have something that they’re really passionate

about, and would spend the rest of their life doing if they

could, just for the enjoyment of it. Getting paid for doing

what you love is obviously appealing – even if you only

earn a living wage, it’d be your idea of paradise.

Make sure, though, that you’d be able to take it if you had

to make a living from your passion. It’s the things we’re

closest to that hurt us the most – think of how you might

feel if no-one buys what you’ve made, or if they send it

back and with a note saying “what rubbish, I demand a

refund!” Can you cope with your hobby becoming commercial?

You’re Tired of Your Boss.

It seems like everyone hates their boss. They try to pretend

like they’re your friend, but they’re not fooling anyone, are

they? You’re forced to work to pointless deadlines and targets.

Anytime you spot a better way of doing something you’re

told that it’s impractical, or, worse, that it’s great but the
stupid

way of doing things is already ‘established’ and ‘policy’.

What you might not realise is that ‘being your own boss’

requires quite a lot of willpower. If there was no-one to make

you get up in the morning and do any work, would you?

Your home is supposed to be a place of rest and entertainment –

and when it’s full of the equipment and temptation to do
anything

but work, working there can be hard.

You Want to Spend More Time with Your Family.

You feel like all you do is go to work, come home, and then sit

around, too tired to do anything fun with your family. If you
have

children, they seem to be growing up so fast, and you’re missing
it

all – all because you have to go out and work.

Of course, the flipside here is that you might just end up

spending too much time with your family, while you’re trying to

work. When everyone knows you’ll be in the house all day,

they’ll probably ask you to do all sorts of unimportant things,

just because you’re available. It’s hard to say no,

and before you know it, you’re doing the job of a full-time

‘housewife’ instead of what you set out to do.

You Don’t Like Wasting Time and Money Commuting.

After all, once you get to the office, what is there anyway?
Offices are

dreary environments, and terrible to work in – travelling for
hours

there and back and spending a significant proportion of your
wages to

do it seems completely pointless (especially if you live in the
middle of

nowhere). If you could work from home, think of the time you’d
save…

and time is money, isn’t it?

Don’t be surprised, however, if you start to feel trapped in
your home,

since you never leave it. Can you find good ways to get away
from it all?

But Don’t Be Put Off.

While the list of warnings for working at home might look

long, a list of warnings about working in an office would

surely be longer. As long as you stay on your guard,

you can get all the benefits of working from home without

falling into any of the traps.

Interviewing Faux Pas to Avoid

An Innocent Comment Kills The Deal

A few years ago, a client in Arizona was searching to fill a VP US Sales position. The search was narrowed to two finalists. One lived in New York and the other in Southern California. The final round of interviews included the CEO and two board members. The candidate from NY made a comment she felt was in jest or just off the cuff, however, it was fatal. She rather flippantly said, “It is really hot here. People must be crazy to live here.” The CEO was offended by this comment and felt that someone at this level should be careful with such comments. He was very concerned this kind of comment could turn off a customer.

Moral of this story, be on guard at all times. Even an off the cuff comment can kill a deal.

Words say a lot but the body speaks louder

While doing a search for a VP of Sales, one of the requirements was up to 50% travel. Although the candidate knew this going in, when the subject came up in the interviews he apparently squirmed in his chair and lost eye contact. The client wasn’t convinced that he was really comfortable with this amount of travel. We discussed this with him in detail and in fact he was comfortable with it and had been doing that much travel for some time. He couldn’t explain the reason for their concern. We were able to overcome this with the client, but only after many conversations with the candidate and client; he did in fact get the offer. However, if he had represented himself and not had us to clarify the situation he would never have gotten the offer. Worse yet, he would never have had the chance to address this point.

Just remember, your body may speak louder than your words do, which is another good reason to hire a coach as they can help you with your interviewing style.

What Is It Like To Take New York Cruises?

Imagine the quiet calm waters on a silent sail while viewing the panoramic view of New York, Manhattan, and the Harbor; few sights are as breath-taking. New York cruises aren’t hard to come by, actually they are dime a dozen, if you’re willing to take your chances with some unknown charter. The experience of being off the coast of one of the most beautiful cities in the world doesn’t have to be tarnished. Several things have to be taken into consideration before leaving shore. Of these include the vessel of choice, the crew, event packages, and of course the route the vessel will travel all important factors to consider.

New York cruises are highly dependant on the vessel, yachts being the preferred method of travel. A large yacht may be needed for large parties, checking that they have the latest in security measures and top of the line equipment to prevent some nautical mishap. Yachts come in various sizes, though for the greatest experience you’ll probably want to go with three level deck with dining floor and expansive windows so no one’s view is obscured.

The ship is only as good as its crew, so checking with the captain and his crew to ensure they are fully trained is an important part of any trip. The staff on board the ship should be able to cater to your wishes while ensuring your safety. New York cruises are not a matter to take likely, an unprepared crew could ruin all your evening’s plans with a simple accident.

Event packages should be able to cover corporate events, awards ceremonies, private family events, and quiet secluded dining. The atmosphere and elegant fine dining are important parts of any cruise. The yacht should offer the various amenities found with any premier establishment: enough seating for you and your guests, wet bar, and a large dance floor. Custom catering and DJ setup are options one should consider before booking any company.

The route of any ship is an important factor is a trip around New York should visit the key spots around the city. A cruise company with several locations is preferred so you can easily access the yacht. New York cruises should have the option of scenic tours of the bay, the Manhattan skyline, and New York itself.

New York Cruises invites all aboard its world-premiere yacht with locations in Manhattan, Connecticut, Brooklyn, and New York harbor waters. They take care to exceed all U.S. Coast guard safety regulations and fully insulate their fleets to be sound proof and provide a gentle, smooth sail. Why Thousands of Visitors Go to See Arlington National Cemetery Each Year

Over 4 million visitors come through Arlington national cemetery each year. It has over 200 acres and was originally made to be a military natural burial site in 1864. It is the second largest national cemetery in the United States with over 300,000 people buried there. This famous natural cemetery is located in Arlington, Virginia and brings visitors here for many different reasons. Some just want to be able to see a piece of American history, some come to remember and honor the nation’s war heroes and others are there for the funeral and burial of a friend or family member.

For those people that are there to attend a funeral, they are in the company of many others each week at Arlington. They average about 28 funerals there each day during the week with no funerals happening there on the weekend. Veterans from all of the nation’s wars are buried at this cemetery from the American Revolution through Iraq and Afghanistan. There are certain traditions that happen during a funeral here. They have a wreath laying ceremony to have a wreath placed on the gravesite as well as a 21 gun salute in honor of the soldier. They also follow the burial with the playing of taps and the presentation of the flag that was on the coffin to the family.

One of the most visited parts of the Arlington national cemetery is the Tomb of the Unknowns. This is a tomb that was built and holds the remains of an unknown soldier from each war. It is meant to symbolize all of the service members that lost their lives during war. There was a ceremony when each Unknown Soldier was interred into the tomb by the presiding President of the United States at the time. The only war that is no longer represented is the Vietnam War where the remains were taken out and identified and then the family of that soldier preferred to have him buried near their home. The Tomb of the Unknowns is guarded by the U.S. Army 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

There are important people that are well known in American History that are also honored by being buried at this cemetery. These people were not military figures but important to our history. There are several explorers buried including some astronauts here. Also, laid to rest here are famous political figures like the Kennedy brothers. Famous literary and medical figures are burial here as well. There are also two Presidents of the United States buried here and they are William Howard Taft and John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Many visitors enjoy walking all around and seeing so many famous names buried in one cemetery.

If you would like to travel to the Washington, D.C. area and take a visit to Arlington, Virginia to see this famous cemetery, it may be exciting to go there on a day that has special ceremonies surrounding it. Veteran’s Day usually has the sitting President speak in honor of those that lost their lives for our country.

continued…
What’s BEWILDERING to me is the different responses I’ve received from several of God’s ministers who have read Beyond Babylon – towards it and me – before and after Dennis Leap’s PARTIAL review! (Malachi 2:9).
When I faithfully sent a computer disk with my book on it to minister Wayne Turgeon, he graciously read all of it and responded:
“Of, how I admire those with both the ability to write as well as the courage to put down their ideas on paper! I felt that you have a very gripping style of writing that uses twists and slants of words or phrases to make your point. I looked up every scripture you referenced and it became clear that you have really spent a lot of time in your Bible. Being Jewish, I think, gives you an added perspective that I could never have… Much of what you have written is not ‘new revelation’ as I’m sure that you’d readily agree… It’s certainly not my place to determine if what you believe God has shown you is true or not, but would you mind presenting Mr. Flurry with an abbreviated version of what you feel is inspired… as I highly doubt that he would have time to read your whole book.”
What does he mean it’s not his place to determine if what I wrote is true or not? God holds every INDIVIDUAL responsible to prayerfully determine whether something is of God or not! How did we prove Malachi’s Message was biblical? Did we rely solely on our minister’s evaluation? Worldwide all over again?
Mind you, unlike Mr. Armstrong’s lengthy manuscript of close to 300 typed pages, Beyond Babylon is only 1/2 that size, literally! I suggested Gerald Flurry read the first and last chapters. Mr. Turgeon told me Flurry returned it to him, saying something like, “He’s always sending us stuff.”
I have written short letters to the point, like correcting him about Mount Hermon and Mount Carmel after he continued to confuse the two in several articles. I’m familiar with them because I’ve been blessed to have lived next to both of them. Mr. Turgeon also wrote that I was a little “too radical” for Mr. Flurry and wondered what I’d said or done that had given him that impression. I explained it’s because I took exception to his careless condemnation of those religious Jews who want the Temple built as “extremists.” I wrote that it’s extremist for secular, humanist Jews to oppose converting the Promised Land into a Holy Land!
Flurry was surprised and had also written against the STRONG EMOTIONS some feel over Jerusalem and Israel. How could God use someone so distant over there?! Some of us have a GOD-GIVEN LOVE for Jerusalem and a genuine passion for Judah that’s most personal; we’re not a stranger in OUR Homeland! (Psalms 102:14; Ps. 137; Isaiah 62). That’s not “radical,” it’s BIBLICAL!
Minister Carl Craven also read Beyond Babylon and acknowledged it as biblical. He said he hadn’t looked up every Scripture, but was sure if he had they’d also be used correctly. I commented that I know it’s biblical, but that I was just waiting for headquarters to prove that to themselves as well. He expressed an understanding of how it’s difficult to be patient meanwhile. When Dennis Leap did call, it was to instruct me to STAY HOME FROM SABBATH SERVICES while he looked at the book! I didn’t recall such an unusual request being made of Mr. Armstrong, and recognized it went against “innocent until proven guilty,” but obliged with the hope of returning soon (John 7:51).
“Prophesy Not!”
After some time, I called Mr. Leap. He said he’d read PARTS of the book, and that it wasn’t important whether Mr. Flurry had read it or not (even though I’d been led to believe he’d pass it on to him). He stated, “You use some pretty strong language in there,” to which I replied, “But it’s biblical, isn’t it?” “Well, yes, but…”. He also noted, like Mr. Turgeon, that most of it is what we already teach. I agreed and said that that should serve as a GOOD SIGN, but that the NEW REVELATION about the Two Witnesses and Europe is firmly built upon that foundation.
Dennis Leap found it difficult to accept that a LAY MEMBER would write such a book. He admitted Flurry had received bits of revelation from lay members, but NEVER a whole book! I didn’t want to be judged by precedent, but by whether or not what I’d written is biblical. If I was in error, then it was his duty to clearly show me where FROM THE BIBLE, like Aquilla and Priscilla helped improve Apollos’ understanding (Acts 18:26).
I was informed if I wanted to return to services, I would have to forget Beyond Babylon, act like a “regular lay member,” and basically deny that it was from God! Like Mr. Armstrong, I had PROVEN what I’d written to be TRUE. Actually, Leap didn’t say that it wasn’t or attempt to refute it!
I told Mr. Leap I didn’t want to play politics. By his insistence that I must be a MINISTER to write such a book, he was still looking to MEN OF STATURE! And since I’m not one, he was demanding that I “PROPHESY NOT!” (Amos 2:12).
He got very angry when I mentioned this and said he was severing all ties between the PCG and myself, and that I wasn’t to claim any association with the PCG. He said I was now free to go and do whatever I felt God would have me to do with BB and not worry whether or not he or Mr. Flurry had read it! When I expressed the hope of reconciliation, he retorted we could when I repented. Of what? OBEYING GOD RATHER THAN MAN? Is that “rebellion?”
Mr. Armstrong WASN’T an ordained minister either when he wrote what he felt GOD would have him to share! The Identity Doctrine also wasn’t so much new truth, as a new way of presenting it. I’m sure glad he didn’t let those two points stop him! Aren’t you? So I was UNJUSTLY DISFELLOWSHIPPED for believing God used me to write a book, and MARKED for exposing the facts about Mr. Leap’s folly!
Will Dennis Leap stop being jealous of what God would have me to offer (1 Sam. 2:29)? Will Gerald Flurry HONOR GOD more than a man, and recognize Beyond Babylon belongs to God and HIS Church? (II Sam. 19:5-7; Ga. 2:9). Will Flurry again uphold God’s Word or try and prop up Leap and fall with him? (Isa. 22:19). Did God remove Mr. Amos so Dennis Leap could be used to try us all?(Nahum 1:11). WHY’S THE BIBLE OUT OF THE PICTURE? (In The Philadelphia Trumpet’s photo of Mr. Flurry). Does Mr. Flurry feel he’s now got it made? (1 Cor. 10:12). A picture’s worth a thousand words!
No Cowards in the Kingdom!
May God give COURAGE to His people! If they’re AFRAID to question Dennis Leap’s serious actions, how can God expect them to stand up to the world (Jer. 12:5; Rev. 21:8)? God’s sick of sycophants and tired of the timid! We’re to be bold as lions (Dan. 11:32)! We’re supposed to be ready to die for one another, not betray and desert each other! Yet too often the household of faith has lost its warn and loving environment for an intimidating atmosphere of fear and oppression (Jer. 12:6). It’s pretty bad when you can’t trust your own family (Jer. 9:4). Brethren turning in brethren to the “authorities” for wrong reasons and maliciously reporting on others (1 Cor. 5:8). How COLD-HEARTED (Matt. 10:32-40).
God pronounces WOE to those who support wrong judgments (Isa. 5:32) and CONDEMNS IT as an ABOMINATION (Prov. 17:15). He speaks against selling out someone to gain an advantage (Ex. 23:8). Those who’ve become accomplices to CHARACTER ASSASSINATION haven’t just abandoned a Church member, they’re guilty of BETRAYING CHRIST! (Ex. 20:16; Matt. 10:33). It’s actually God’s law they’ve thrown out and His Word they’ve despised (Isa. 5:24). You can’t treat someone so hatefully and fool God that you love Him (1 John 4:20). You might turn your back on a brother, but you’re going to FACE GOD (Mark 9:42)!
Whether you’ve sold out to curry favor with a minister, or to stay put in an organization or position – that “blood money” will COST YOU YOUR LIFE! God will JUDGE SUCH PEOPLE (if they don’t repent) and throw them down from their high and mighty imaginations and lofty positions (Isa. 22:15-19; Deut. 32:36). For those bent on JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS blindly, acting like GOOD NAZIS, God’s going to give them over to Europe! If that’s what you want, that’s what you’ll get!
FATHER Knows Best!
Too many are still looking to men to save them! Is it up to Gerald Flurry to decide who’ll enter God’s Kingdom? Of course not, and he’d readily agree, but brethren it’s just as BLASPHEMOUS to believe it’s up to him or any other MAN to decide who can go to Petra! Which minister was crucified for you? (1 Cor. 1:12- 13; 3:3-9). Into what surname were you baptized? If GOD put you into HIS Church, can any man put you out? If God gave you His Holy Spirit, can any minister take it away? If God finds you worthy to escape, can any man prevent it? (Luke 21:36). WHOSE APPROVAL ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? (John 9:22; 13:42-43).
Aren’t you willing to be like Jesus, who was forsaken by all? Aren’t you willing to follow Jesus outside the camp, bearing His reproach and suffering His shame? (Heb. 13:12-13; 2 Tim. 1:8). Those who put an IDOLATROUS TRUST in ministers or politicians are going to discover they can’t deliver! (Deut. 32:36-39; Hosea 13:10). Mortals can’t save you or protect you. Besides, if you’re only trying to save your skin, you’ll lose your hide! Only Jesus Christ can offer salvation, and only those whom the FATHER finds worthy will escape. It’s not up to any pastor general or minister. Many of them will get slaughtered with THEIR sheep! (1 Cor. 9:27; Isa. 46:2).
If God could provide the “travel arrangements” for Enoch, Elijah and Philip – INDIVIDUALS – can’t He take care of you? (Acts 8:39; Rev. 12:6; Jer. 3:14). God won’t forget you or leave you behind (Heb. 6:10; Isa. 49:15). He knows the scattered condition of His saints and the reasons why, and promises us: “I will seek that which is lost, and bring that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick…” (Ezek. 34:16). The Good Sheherd doesn’t forsake His flock!
God’s Two Witnesses are SOON to take the stand! They’ll testify before a WORLD COURT, and to many it will sound familiar – having read about it in Beyond Babylon! It’s only biblical that just as surely as Europe’s on the rise, so too are God’s star witnesses (Isa. 60:1). But when have proud and stubborn RELIGIOUS LEADERS ever accepted God’s change of guard or venue (Rev. 11:8)? Sardis didn’t. Joseph Tkach didn’t. Will Gerald Flurry graciously PASS THE BATON to the Two Witnesses? Or will history repeat itself? We’ll see!
